Personal
His main body of work utilizes his original photographs, digitally altered to forge a new form. His background in photography,  provides a diverse array of materials to fuel his work. His compositions are fresh and updated-from cities to resorts, heritage sites to familiar scenes, as canvass for the narrative of his subjects.
Adaptive
The free and experimental nature of collage allows him to accommodate the vision of his clients for commissioned work.  With specific directions, restrictions combined with his artistic standards,  the resulting collage piece is mutually created.
​COLLABORATIVE
Constantly looking for other artists and professionals in the field of architecture, illustrations, animation, and video, he collaborates to create more than just 2D art pieces. His art’s adaptiveness enables the execution of the shared vision with his collaborator.

         Coast Moriya is the musical project of multidisciplinary artist Michael Lorenzana. Blending rhythmic and calming structures, his sound is a collage of textures, created with both playfulness and intention. Rooted in drums, his music aims to bring listeners into ambient narratives, drawing influence from IDM, lo-fi, experimental, and electronic dance music.
            Coast Moriya creates a dialogue between Michael’s work as a visual artist and music producer, with each track visually represented by a carefully crafted collage.

​With a personal collage, I can create a singular art work that can commemorate an event, celebrate a memory, or simply translate your photos into something new. ​​​​​​​ Each collage can consist of imagery that can either be from your archive or a mix of hand-picked stock photos, carefully composed to have a cohesive form while maintaining the essence of the photos that are used.
